A maximum of 12 people will be allowed in the swimming pool at any given time, and there will be no access to the pool without a booking.

A maximum of two people are allowed in the jacuzzi at any one time. This will be included in the booking for the pool. The sauna and steam room will remain closed until further restrictions are lifted by the government.

Spa treatments

We’re now taking bookings for all spa treatments.

Gym

Our gym is able to accommodate four people at a time. Priority will be given to Bluewater Spa members, but hotel guests will be able to use the gym if there is availability on the day.

To use the gym you will need to book a one hour slot with reception 48 hours before your visit, or you can check late availability with the spa team on the day.

Bluewater Spa members

Bookings will be essential to use the swimming pool from 8am-8pm, however, every day from 7am-8am we have a members-only hour with no booking required. This will be available on a first come first served basis.

Spa days and spa breaks

Spa days and spa breaks are available again, but while there are Covid-19 restrictions in place you’ll only be able to use the pool and spa facilities for one hour each day during your visit. Priority for our gym is given to our spa members, but you will be able to use the gym if there is availability on the day.

How we’re keeping you safe

  • Swimming pool – In order to allow for social distancing, a maximum of 12 people are allowed in the swimming pool at any given time. Anyone wishing to use the pool will need to book a one hour slot with reception. Chlorine use in the pool will continue as usual, which is known to eliminate viruses such as coronavirus.
  • Changing facilities – Where possible, we request that all visitors to the spa change in their rooms, or in the case of the members, at home. Where this isn’t possible the changing rooms will be open but visitors should remain socially distanced at all times.
  • Gym – We have removed some gym equipment to allow social distancing and the gym is limited to a maximum of four people at a time. Cleaning products will be provided in the gym, please use these before and after you use any equipment. All equipment will also be cleaned and sanitised by our team every day.
  • Spa treatment rooms are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each guest, as always.
  • A perspex screen has been added to the spa reception desk
  • Changing rooms and showers will be cleaned and disinfected regularly throughout the day
  • Additional Covid-19 safety training has been given to Bluewater Spa therapists. They will also wear the appropriate PPE when carrying out spa treatments.
  • Hand sanitiser is available at reception, we’d encourage all visitors to use this on their way in and out of the spa
  • All visitors to Bluewater Spa will need to sign in and out so that we can use this data for track and trace, should it be necessary
  • A one way system has been put in place throughout the spa to help with social distancing.

Frequently asked questions

What are the opening times of the spa/gym/pool?

Due to Covid-19 we’ve temporarily amended our opening times. Our spa is open every day from 7am-8pm. Our gym is open every day from 8am-8pm. Spa treatments are available every day from 10am-6pm.

Are non-hotel guests able to use the gym/pool?

You can become a member or pay for a day pass, charged at £30 per day for full use of the spa facilities. Or if you’re visiting for a treatment then a day pass for the facilities will cost £10.

Please note – day passes aren’t currently available while there are Covid-19 restrictions in place as we need to limit the number of guests in our spa. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Children are welcome to use our spa facilities, but must be accompanied by an adult.

What is the depth of the swimming pool?

The swimming pool is 1.8m and 1.2m at its lowest.

We do have a lift to take you down to the spa, but unfortunately the spa area isn’t suitable for wheelchairs.

Unfortunately this isn’t something that we’re able to accommodate as we give our Bluewater Spa members access to the pool during all opening hours.

When should I arrive for my spa treatment?

We recommend arriving 15 minutes before your treatment, so that you can relax and fill out your consultation card. We’d hate to rush you! Late arrival will result in your treatment time being reduced.

We recommend wearing swimwear to your spa treatment.

Yes

Do I need to bring my own towels to the swimming pool/gym?

If you are a guest, we will provide a towel. Bluewater Spa members should bring their own towels.

Unfortunately this isn’t possible, all of our membership packages are for both the spa and gym.

A day pass can be booked on the day. We recommend calling us before travelling on 01202 209104 to check whether we have capacity to fit you in that day.

Yes, we have plenty of lockers (you will need a pound coin for these, which gets returned).

Unfortunately this isn’t possible as we don’t allow any glass within the spa area.

What age do you need to be for a spa treatment?
