Bluewater Spa

Named after its magnificent azure blue swimming pool, Bluewater Spa Bournemouth is the perfect place to escape life’s stresses and unwind with a luxurious spa treatment. A mobile-free zone, our spa is designed with relaxation in mind, and that’s exactly how you’ll feel following a visit.

The spa facilities include an 18m indoor swimming pool with sun loungers, Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, four spa treatment rooms (including two doubles), a fully equipped gym and a stunning relaxation lounge.

As well as being FREE for all hotel guests, Bluewater Spa Bournemouth also offers a spa and gym membership for local residents in the Bournemouth area. We’re ideally located too, just a five minute walk from Bournemouth town centre and a few minutes from the beach.

HOW WE’RE KEEPING YOU SAFE

  • SWIMMING POOL – Chlorine use in the pool will continue as usual, which is known to eliminate viruses such as coronavirus.
  • CHANGING FACILITIES – Where possible, we request that all visitors to the spa change in their rooms, or in the case of the members, at home. Where this isn’t possible the changing rooms will be open but visitors should remain socially distanced at all times.
  • GYM – Cleaning products will be provided in the gym, please use these before and after you use any equipment. All equipment will also be cleaned and sanitised by our team every day.
  • SPA TREATMENT ROOMS are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each guest, as always.
  • A PERSPEX SCREEN has been added to the spa reception desk
  • CHANGING ROOMS AND SHOWERS will be cleaned and disinfected regularly throughout the day
  • ADDITIONAL COVID-19 SAFETY TRAINING has been given to Bluewater Spa therapists
  • HAND SANITISER is available at reception, we’d encourage all visitors to use this on their way in and out of the spa
  • All visitors to Bluewater Spa will need to sign in and out.

Frequently asked questions


What are the opening times of the spa/gym/swimming pool?

Bluewater Spa Bournemouth is open every day from 7am-8pm. Spa treatments are available every day from 10am-6pm.

Are non-hotel guests able to use the gym/swimming pool?

You can become a member or pay for a day pass, charged at £30 per day for full use of the spa facilities. Or if you’re visiting for a spa treatment then a day pass for the facilities will cost £10.

Please note – day passes aren’t currently available while there are Covid-19 restrictions in place. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Are children allowed in the swimming pool?

Children are welcome to use the facilities at Bluewater Spa Bournemouth, but must be accompanied by an adult.

What is the depth of the swimming pool?

The swimming pool is 1.8m and 1.2m at its lowest.

Is Bluewater Spa accessible for disabled visitors?

We do have a lift to take you down to the spa, but unfortunately the spa area isn’t suitable for wheelchairs.

Am I able to exclusively hire out the swimming pool for an event?

Unfortunately this isn’t something that we’re able to accommodate as we give our Bluewater Spa members access to the pool during all opening hours.

When should I arrive for my spa treatment?

We recommend arriving 15 minutes before your spa treatment, so that you can relax and fill out your consultation card. We’d hate to rush you! Late arrival will result in your spa treatment time being reduced.

What should I wear during my spa treatment?

We recommend wearing swimwear to your spa treatment.

Is the gym air-conditioned?

Yes

Do I need to bring my own towels to the swimming pool/gym?

If you are a guest, we will provide a towel. Bluewater Spa members should bring their own towels.

Do you offer a joint membership deal for couples/groups?

Do you offer an off-peak membership package?

If I have a voucher for the spa, can I just turn up or should I book first?

You’ll need to book first, please get in touch via our online enquiry form or by calling Bluewater Spa Bournemouth on 01202 209104.

Can I get membership just for the gym (excluding the swimming pool)?

Unfortunately this isn’t possible, all of our Bluewater Spa membership packages are for both the swimming pool and gym.

Do I have to book a day pass in advance or can I just turn up?

A day pass for Bluewater Spa Bournemouth can be booked on the day. We recommend calling us before travelling on 01202 209104 to check whether we have capacity to fit you in that day.

Are there lockers available in your swimming pool/gym?

Yes, Bluewater Spa Bournemouth has plenty of lockers (you will need a pound coin for these, which gets returned).

Are you able to arrange a bottle of wine / prosecco / champagne for us to drink in the spa?

Unfortunately this isn’t possible as we don’t allow any glass within the spa area.

What age do you need to be for a spa treatment?

Guests must be aged 18 and over to join us for one of our spa treatments.

When can I visit you to view the facilities?

Please feel free to pop in any day between 9:30am and 6:30pm and we can show you around Bluewater Spa Bournemouth.
