COVID-19 Update

Dear valued guests and friends of The Connaught Hotel and Spa,

In response to the latest UK Government advice, we have temporarily closed our hotel to the general public until further notice.  It gives us great sadness not to be welcoming our regular guests, but it’s the right step to take as we all play our part in trying to get through this difficult time.  You can still contact the team for new bookings or to manage your existing booking on 01202 298020 from 9am-5pm daily.

Our Booking Policy

We’ve made some adjustments to our booking policy to give you more flexibility if you have a booking coming up with us.


  • For pre-paid, advance non-cancellable bookings, we will offer to move your booking to any date up to 31st December 2020. Please note that there may be an additional cost for alternative dates, which would be payable on arrival.
  • All flexible bookings can be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to arrival with no charge.


  • We strongly advise you to book our flexible rate as this will give the option to amend or cancel your booking up to 48 hours before your arrival. Any new pre-paid, advance non-cancellable bookings made cannot be amended.

Bluewater Spa

If you’re a member of our Bluewater Spa, please don’t worry about your membership fees or direct debits – all fees will automatically be frozen until we reopen again.

Gift Vouchers

  • If you’ve purchased a gift voucher that needs to be used, we’ll extend the expiry date for you so that you don’t have to worry about losing out
  • For all new gift vouchers purchased, we’ve increased the expiry date from 12 to 18 months to give you more peace of mind.

In these difficult times we take great comfort in the fact that we have an outstanding team and a very loyal community of customers. We’re a local business and we really do appreciate the messages of support that we’ve received from you, plus the hard work and dedication from our colleagues, who look forward to seeing you again when we’re back up and running.
