Christmas in Bournemouth 2010 

Christmas at  Best Western, The Connaught Hotel in Bournemouth this year really was the best ever and the hotel was full - again!! The guests were wonderful, friendly and they truly enjoyed the Christmas spirit; Our Maitre d', Nick Rutigliano and his team worked tirelessly throughout the festival much to the delight of all our guests - they are simply the best that Bournemouth has to offer!!! Santa was in fine form again this year and every child received a personal gift and their own personal photograph sitting with Santa - as did many of the Mums!!!

The food, prepared by our Head Chef, Danny Green and his young staff, was of the finest quality. Kevin Casswell, our Food and Beverage Manager and his young team were also at their very best. Wendy and her team of girls kept us all clean and tidy throughout the Christmas period and our maintenance team, Andy and Brian ensured everything worked as it should do. The entertainment was lively and performed by local musicians and DJs. In 2009 the AA again awarded Blakes with a single rosette and for all our hard work they awarded the hotel with the highest merit rating of any 3 Star Hotel in Bournemouth (82%). In addition, the hotel has been granted Connoisseur status by Best Western and in the Bournemouth Tourism Awards 2009 the hotel was "Highly Commended" in the Best Large Hotel of the Year Award and The Best Restaurant Award.
